[Tired]

(The feeling of being a burden)

I didn’t break anyone, I never intended to,

But somehow it all falls on me.

They point fingers like weapons,

And I just stand there,

Unarmed.

Exhausted.

Numb.

My Mother says I’m Worthless.

My Uncle says I’m like my father

And I just breathe quietly

In a room silently curled up.

I don’t scream.

Not because I agree

But because I’m tired of shouting

Into ears that never planned to hear.

I’m not healing.

Cuz they Don’t let me.

I’m just breathing

Cuz death hasn’t come yet.

They say I have a phone.

As if it’s my luxury,

Not my coffin with a screen.

If I stay, I’m a burden.

If I leave, I’m a disgrace.

If I speak, I’m ungrateful.

If I’m silent, I’m guilty.

There’s no version of me they’ll accept

Unless I’m lying dead

With a note that says,

“Sorry I couldn’t be enough.”
