Time Of Monsoon

How bright the green clothes appear,

On the brown barks

On which the sound of life quiver.

The design blooms

When the raindrops settle the gloom.

How lovely my country looks,

The sent of its sand which

spreads joyful nationalism.

The ‘peau’ of the peacock

Which spreads its wings

Along with its flock.

How happy I feel,

When I sit with my family

Eating pakodas fondly.

I can hear the sound of rain

I can feel the rhythm

as of a classical dancer

with a peace chain.

How magnificent is the time of monsoon!
