Folks say leave the past behind

Live in the present & unwind

I counter why not reminisce the time flown by?

Why not recall the memories before I bid goodbye?

Why not relive the moments of yester years?

Moments of regrets & sorrows, laughter & cheers?

For such moments make a worthwhile experience

These moments form the essence of my existence

As I knit the memories of today

Wanting to cherish them with each passing day

Doesn't matter if they make me laugh or cry

I still want to treasure them all before I say goodbye
