Through the world

A twittering, naked little hatchling

Cowers in the nest from the gust,

Unable to see past her shells crust.

Her beak chips a point;

The shell splits in two

And the endless expanse is borne.

To be an Eagle then,

Is to soar far above the jelly clouds,

Hurtling, jet-like to pierce through,

And glimpse the specs of streaked surroundings,

Trails of smoke sputtering the midst.

There careers the horizons blue edge,

To which a Dolphin dives,

Dissolving underneath undulating currents,

And chartering velvety, undisturbed distances

Where merpeople sing and sirens enthral.

He scuttles up and flips through the surface,

Planting four firm feet on the jungle floor,

To take oxygen - paws pounding to shake-

And roar until collapsed lungs overtake

And all the woodland creatures wake.

On his hindlegs, he rears to strike

But tumbles by the knees to behold fingers,

Which place pebbles of places to prosper,

And dot the minds markings on cave walls;

So that she may alight in--out,

Soul aflame as ashes are swept asunder.
