Through The Cracks

There are moments in life when hope fades quietly — not with drama, but with silence. “Through the Cracks” was born from one of those seasons.

It reflects a time when I had stopped waiting, stopped asking. And then, unexpectedly, life answered in a way I hadn’t imagined — not with fireworks, but with something quieter, deeper.

This piece is about a boy who entered our lives like spring after a long, cold winter. We didn’t chase him — he came to us. And through him, laughter returned, light crept back in, and I learned that some forms of healing don’t come with fanfare. They just… grow, slowly, through the cracks.

This is not just a song — it’s a quiet thank-you to grace, to timing, and to a small soul who reminded me how to breathe again.

Through the cracks

I was lost in the cold, where colors fade

Dreams felt distant, hearts half-made

The world grew quiet, nothing would sing

I wasn’t waiting anymore

Didn’t have it in me

The prayers had faded

And hope had grown quiet

Then he came —

Like spring

After the longest winter

Didn’t fight for him

Didn’t plan it out

He just showed up

Like laughter in a quiet house

A wild little flame — fearless and tender

Laughed at the weight I carried inside

Taught me to breathe, taught me to try

Not every hope is something you chase

One night, I broke

Outside the ward

Cried like I hadn’t in years

And maybe God was listening

Or maybe he already was

Then came the healing, then came the day

When laughter returned and fear slipped away

He came like a spring after a long, long winter

A wild little flame — fearless and tender

Laughed at the weight I carried inside

Taught me to breathe, taught me to try

Not every hope is something you chase
