Through masked eyes...

Yet another day,

Another performance ,

Big applause ,

Laughters, giggles,

And a big crowd of ocean,

Few more pennies for the day.

They admire my perfection,

The confidence they see,

From the other side of the mask !

A world thay they perceive to be real.

Some say,

With a talent like this,

He must already be a millionaire.

Some have known me for years,

Who come to see me quite often.

Others are here out of curiosity !

Some do pay me ,

Appreciating my acts.

Some still belive,

These aren't worth any dime.

A cascade of reactions !

That repeats itself,

Over time and time.

And all they can see,

Is a man, brave, perfect, confident and a millionaire !

What they fail to see,

Are the red eyes.

Eyes which are lonely.

Eyes which are fretting.

Eyes which are scared to death.

What if something goes wrong?

What if I miss the perfect timing or judgement?

What if I lose this handful of hopes,

I yearn hard for , with every sunrise?

Cause just one failure,

And you lose the castle you've been building for years untiringly.

A cost that can ,

Halt your family from getting the bread.

They don't see my vulnerabilities,

How each day is,

Like fighting a war!

Where either you live,

Or die.

They fail to see the tears,

That rolls down my soul.

As my body yells in pain!

But this is all i can ever do,

For my family to sustain.

Cause if they learnt,

The perfect artist,

On the other side of the mask,

Is as weak and broken,

Like a mirror shattered on the floor.

Then,

They might pity me!

And that pity might kill,

The mere ability I've accomplished,

Putting up on a show everyday,

Of laughter,

Of fun,

With the price of my blood,

And the skin.

Through masked eyes,

This is the only battle,

I strive to win !
