This Warm Feeling

I left my heart

in the empty church I saw weeks ago.

And now, it wanders the green meadows;

it roams the graveyard with mossy cobblestones.

I left my heart at those waterfalls

those sounds of nature, they took my breath away.

Now she rides those waves and makes a journey of her own

I left my heart in those hills,

those hills where I first breathed air so fresh.

Now she plays with the dandelions

which sway ever so gently in the wind.

I left my heart

with the beautiful brown horse I rode.

The sound of his hooves still haunts me in my dreams,

his sinewy body ever so strong.

I left my heart

in my childhood home, still haunted by the ghosts of my beloved.

Those aromas, still fresh in my mind.

Those hugs which bloom like flowers in my chest.
