THIS THING BETWEEN US.

The first interaction was a catalyst,

Stuck with feelings I’m trying to resist,

Can’t pretend you don’t exist,

Because you’re impossible to resist.

This thing between us,

Has people real sus,

When our mouths meet in a feather like kiss,

And your presence becomes something I miss.

Am I the only one who feels the spark?

As you lit my world that was once was dark,

When won’t we hide like lovers in a park,

Like the ying to my yang a contrast so stark.

Am I the only one who feels the chemistry?

Like in another life we once had history,

Like how I’m drawn to your mystery,

And how I just wanna be part of your symphony.

Am I setting myself up for heartbreak,

When your absence makes my heart ache,

This thing between us will never be the same,

With how my heart calls out your name.

This thing between us would normally kill us,

Separation anxiety like I’ve been hit by a bus,

You’re never out of mind, out of sight,

With you, one touch and I ignite.

I’m writing like a hopeless romantic,

In a tale that may or may not be tragic,

Perhaps God may perform some sort of magic,

In this case, one can only remain optimistic.

This fire on fire,

Catalyzed by this much desire,

Turns us to sinners,

But together we’re sinners.

When our lips brush,

I can only blush,

Wishing you were mine,

A soul untouchable, yet divine.

Don’t let them ruin our beautiful rhythm,

Because I love how you fill me to the brim,

They say that we’re out of control,

Because of the way you swallow me whole,

And the way you consume my soul.

Do you need me like I need you?

Or will you leave me out of the blue,

Say it now or forever shut your mouth,

The time is now else this goes south.
