This Landscape, These People

By Anvi Girish

A curious excited traveler,

Standing in between the crowd

Exploring the landscape around him

And bonding with the people around him,

He underestimated his calm surrounding

And its blissful blinding beauty.

Though its beauty struck him,

Though it made him speechless,

He couldn't forget his land and his people

And he effortlessly convinced himself,

“This landscape, these people,

Can never be like mine”.

Though he was treated with true love,

Though he felt homely,

He'd never admit they were as good as his own

And he effortlessly convinced himself,

“This landscape, these people,

Can never be like mine”.

Being biased is part of humanity,

And humanity is the reality.
