There Exists Death
By Jasmine Jena
Is death really the end?
Or is it a continuation to the afterlife,
Where we think our souls live.
Is it really a point where you don't survive,
Or just an illusion that causes your soul fade away,
And just your body is left behind. Is it the dusk where the sun sets,
Or the moon and stars that keep the night alive,
Which comes to a point of sunrise.
Is it the occasion where one departs from the fancy of life,
Or the uninterrupted flow of memories that one enjoys,
For ceaseless seven minutes.
Is it that somewhere where we can't feel a thing,
Or it's just like a place in the blues of our heart,
Where our sensations fall apart.
Is it the blaze that burns the ambivalent being,
Or the fire that ignite and gives the phoenix,
A new existance after demise.
Is it like our eyes getting painted in black,
Or a serene site of colourful creatures who put together,
To build a sublime universe of theirs.
Is it what we call nothingness ,
Or a perception of consciousness within us,
That bring a shift in our aura. Is death really the end?
Or is it a continuation to the afterlife,
Where we think our souls live.
