Then, Now, Forev-her…

She held my hand and taught me how to write Her hair was pitch black and her face snowy white; Last night she arrived in my dream I was in life’s flight She was the pilot at the darkest midnight.

Awoken in the morn, I see her face; tears in my eyes her did I embrace. Hiding all feelings in my muscular case Pretending to be strong, but failing every such race.

Yes, she is stern, but her love is immense Towards me, and care makes me her presence Every minute and hour to feel, Call me girlish and feminist, but I simply don’t care Because it’s all for her and it always seems fair.

It was her that slapped me when I was wrong And sculpted the stone into a warrior strong. My doom when I’m broken, my support when I’m weak; That cute fuming face when she is angry and I’m pretty meek. She is like no other and I don’t want any, My tigress is the only one and is enough for many.

She is my ice and she is my flame For my grave sins, dare her you to blame Enough of your sacrifices, mom It’s time for you to put them to shame.
