Their Whole World

Updated: Jul 14

By Gaurav Chandrawanshi

They come to us, so small, so bright,

With wagging tails or purrs at night.

A part of our journey, a fleeting stay,

Yet for them, we are the only way.

Eyes that follow, full of trust,

Hearts that love, so pure, so just.

Each moment shared, a treasure found,

In their short lives, we are their ground.

A walk, a treat, a simple game,

For them, it’s joy; it’s all the same.

While we rush on through work and strife,

They wait for us—our whole their life.

Through every bark or gentle mew,

They teach us love, so deep, so true.

Though their time is brief, their love remains,

A tender balm for life’s sharp pains.

So hold them close, these loyal friends,

Their boundless love will never end.

For though they stay a little while,

They leave behind an endless smile.
