The World That Judged Me

By Amitava Chaudhuri

They fault me for those

Small things I failed to do.

They mocked my ignorance,

Forgetting the million things I knew.

They valued not what I prized,

Those precious things I stored,

Sneering at my but one dislike,

They forgot the thousands I adored.

For all the good things of my life,

The cruel world had no name,

For they had found that one tiny blot

For which, me they shall always blame.
