The World

By Hasini Nimmagadda

A world unknown

in an unsure place,

with no identity,

no frame or face,

supposedly perfect,

but so unrealistic,

that it doesn’t exist,

except when we think,

it lives in our daydream,

stuck in our reverie,

always in our imagination,

that’s where it’ll forever be.

The world can’t change,

it'll stay the same,

but a perfect world,

continues to be our aim,

it may be soon,

that we get to say,

‘The world is a better place’

if only we can live to see the day.
