The woman in the sky

The silver woman dips in and out

Of the curves of her cloud.

The tendrils on her frocks hem wisp behind her,

And her laughter vibrates through the sky in waves

To wash over my ears on land.

She twirls behind a puff of bubbling white blossom,

Then she re-emerges against the bright blue;

Grey, glittering hair curls in plane loops,

As her form morphs into formless air.

She reaches out to me, away from my dulcet dwellings,

To come spin with her in the heavens-

Where her fairy stars twinkle for light,

And her feather beds flutter for night.

The silver woman bounces up, toes pointed down in a pirouette,

She graces softly back upon her cloud.
