The Walk

On a not so perfect evening

The sun was quick to do it’s hiding

Painting the sky black


While the cold winds blew through the shack


It might’ve been

What I would’ve seen

But, your very presence

Transformed its every existence

I was pretending to walk while having a fall

The walk slowly turned into a stroll

Breaking down each other’s last wall

Creating a moment, that had it all

The clouds froze their droplets

To shower us with snowflakes

The half moon is waning away

To put on its shining smile our way

Walking hand in hand

As our fingers intertwined

Our heartbeats synchronized

And our should were finally pacified


Even the word love

Doesn’t seem enough somehow

To describe this moment now

Sharing silent whispers

Denying to disperse

Getting a lot closer

Feeling a lot safer


With our eyes


Carrying each other’s reflection

Hoping this path would never cease

To prolong this very sensation

Even our watches

Forgot to tick

Killing all our chances

Of ending this evening quick...
