The Virus

The big blue ball was full of life,

Endless energy and enthusiasm everywhere.

Normal life without any strife.

Suddenly, a virus came out of nowhere

It was thought to be harmless,

But it was melancholy in disguise.

All countermeasures became useless.

The virus started breeding,

Lives were startled with brooding eyes.

The quality of life was receding.

Panic, panic and panic at all places.

The virus was changing its nature and evolving,

Lakhs of deaths in steady paces.

There was abeyance as if earth stopped revolving.

Doleful problems were not resolving.

Is this the advent of corona virus?

No, this is the advent of human beings.

We are the virus.

Born with the powerfully positive 6th sense,

Yet yielding to the awfully negative 7 deadly sins.

Threatening and killing other lives.

No difference between corona virus and us.

It is time for us to harmonize with nature

Let’s not be ego-friendly and be eco-friendly.

Let empathy fill the heart and mind.

Be humble! Be kind!

“Dust thou art, to dust returnest”, said Son of Man.

O Adult! Stop adulterating the quality life.

O Human being! Stop being the virus.
