The Village Romeo

In a small village lived a man named Tej, who had given himself the title of the most handsome and desirable bachelor in the world. The villagers, however, had a simpler name for him: “The Village Romeo.”

Tej believed that every glance, every smile, and every conversation was proof of his irresistible charm. He spent his days admiring his own reflection, praising his appearance, and imagining that every girl in the village secretly admired him.

Reality, however, told a different story.

Most people found him tiring rather than charming. Whenever families discussed marriage proposals, Tej’s name was never considered. It was not because he lacked confidence - it was because his confidence had grown larger than his character.

Eventually, Tej left the village and stepped into the outside world, carrying his pride and self-proclaimed fame with him. Soon, his reputation followed. People began to whisper a different title for him: an infamous womanizer.

One day, a curious stranger asked, “Why does everyone seem to know him?”

Her friend laughed and replied, “Because in his village, ninety percent of women disliked him. The other ten percent are simply the ones who haven’t met him yet.”

Tej continued walking proudly, believing he was a legend.

The world quietly agreed that he was one - just not the kind of legend he imagined.
