The Unworthy Treasure Chest

At the time of India’s struggle for freedom there were many great heroes of that time who will always be remembered and will never get out of the geat books of Indian history. But one of the most famed personality who is the most talked about is Rabindranath Tagore. He was a very renowned Bengali poet who got a nobel prize for his book of poems. At that tat there were no pens so he used to write with feather pens. Almost a century after he died, a farmer was ploughing his field to to plant the seds. While doing so his spade hit something hard. He became interested and started the digging that particular spot. After sometime he found that it was a treasure chest. He was very excited and brought a pocket knife to open the chest. Unfortunately his excitement ran away when he saw that there was only a feather lying inside the chest . he was very disappointed.

Actually it was one of Rabindranath Tagore’s feather pen, which had somehow found its way to the chest. The farmer was very sad and angry. So he took hold of the feather to throw it out. But little did he know that the feather was magical. As soon as he did so, he suddenly turned into none other than Rabindranath Tagore. No sooner had this conversion taken place that thousands of reporters broke into the farmers house and started asking the man some awkward questions. While all this time the farmer was standing still, to surprised to even move. He was very confused after he had become Rabindranath Tagore. Suddenly he realised that maybe the feather was magical. So he at once he let go hold of the feather. Then in the blink of the eye he transformed into his real self. So at once all the reporters left and were very embarrassed to find themselves interviewing a coomon farmer. After the reporters had left. The farmer came up of an idea. The idea was that as the farmer himself was happy with his job and income and did not want to become famous, he decided to bury the chest once again for the future generations.
