The Unpassable Night

This day felt like an unpassable night,

Millions of thoughts running inside my mind.

Thoughts on you, thoughts about me

The noon of thought inside the dead of midnight

Not the kind of girl who likes staying up late at night

But these million thoughts keep me awake all night,

Will I succeed, will i do great

Those thoughts of self-doubt keep me awake.

And if I slept before midnight, it’s like I wasted a day

As the night gets darker, the thoughts become shady

And now I’m here in the moonless midnight of my mind

Taking long walks with my tangled thoughts on the front porch at midnight

And to this day, every day felt like an unpassable night.
