Well, what is the job of a washing machine? The answer to it is so simple! In fact you may even call me mad for asking you such a simple question. Even a child can answer it! Yes, yes a washing machine washes clothes and makes our life easy simply by saving time. In short, it makes our life blissful. But the question is how on earth can it be compared to the universe?
You put dirty clothes into the washing machine, add detergent, shut it, plug in and the machine does its work. After some time they magically turn out into clean fresh pieces of clothes. The same is true with human beings. This analogy explains very well how the universe acts like a giant washing machine. Human beings can be compared to clothes. Clothes get dirty due to grease, grime, stains and then they stink. The same way the minds of human beings become adulterated by malicious and evil intent, constant worry and stress, jealousy, greed, a feeling of taking revenge and manipulating, avarice, and more . With the result the mind becomes dirty. It starts stinking. But the universe gives a chance to everyone to realise their mistakes and get rid of them. The mind has to be diverted to the beauty of nature and every individual must find beauty in all aspects of life. In order to make our job easy every individual is assigned a particular life, which is the cumulative effect of his past impressions, and accordingly he must work on his follies and cleanse himself of all the unwanted bad impressions. This can be done by being constantly aware and focusing on improvement.
What is important to understand is that the universe is not biased towards anyone nor does it intend to favour anyone. So once a human being is born he is put into the washing machine called the universe. Tasks are given according to the past deeds. We meet specific people, go to specific places to expand our horizon and to gain experience. The universe gives us a chance to cleanse ourselves. Our past impressions are like stains of dirt. Some are stubborn and some are light. The moment we take birth we are put into that space where we start interacting and making new impressions.
Those of us who realise the greater purpose of our life will not stick to the stains. They will make attempts to let go of the past dealings and come out clean in the end. They win because they achieve their purpose. They feel light and they glow in their own light. They are just like the freshly washed clothes, which hang on the clothing line happily dancing in the breeze. Their cool and sweet fragrance fills the air and you feel so good in their presence. It is like the same good feeling you get when you are in the company of happy people!
