The Theatre of Life.

By Yengkhom Lucky Singh

Life — a strange reality,

beautiful, and cruel.

It hides behind its many masks,

concealing truth

from mortal sight.

Life — A mystery;

too brief for some,

too endless for others.

To one, a blessing.

To another, a curse.

Some call it a journey.

Others, a race.

But I —

I call it a journey made up of races.

Life — a certainty;

for the promised land lies

beneath the intricacy.

The wise live.

The foolish merely survive.

Life — a strange reality,

beautiful, and cruel.
