Not a philosopher, not a mathematician, not a journalist.

Not somebody great, but certainly not the dullest.

Many look up to you, a future determinist.

Oh Ruby Parker, your mark? Permanent.

She forged a path, the path of an artist. An easy one? Oh no.

For every 1 happiness was 5 and a half woe.

She washed her brushes in tears that would over flow.

Oh Ruby Parker, your mark? A rose of Jericho.

Her work was fantastic, marvelous, thought provoking.

When she published her work, people though she was joking.

On pennies and pounds, she was barely coping.

Oh Ruby Parker, your mark? Exploding.

Ruby, oh Ruby.
