It all started with a war… a war that resulted in unweeding garden that grows on seed…both the Shadow Zenades and the Khazians who were once the golden sword that guarded the heavens, the moon that was the ligature that used to bind hearts together, the two different clans that were as though they were a single body. But perhaps they were not meant to be together. They say hate that comes from love is worse than what u think it could be. Oh the mighty heavens, was this the destiny they had?? After 5 million years…Both the clans suffered from the war. The great war (The battle of Khenzie) happened millions of years ago but the damage and the grievance that it left behind…it couldnot be restored. Now, things were different and the Khazians ruled half of the heaven while the Shadow Zenades ruled the other half. The Shadow Zenades had lost all their godly powers.
CHAPTER- 1
In the Khazian realm… The Sultan and the Sultana were blessed with a goddess who’s hazel eyes resembled the melting gold under the sun, her zulfein as dark as the night sky, soft hands yet were made for unbelievable, extraordinary and remarkable swordsmanship, her elegance and bravery of a true warrior, wit beyond imagination, her boldness?? It looked like the red colour of the blood. But she did not ever seem to be happy in her own palace. Sultan was busy with the state affairs, so the little girl got little attention from her father. One day, her father took het to the fair to make her happy to make up for his absence. That was the day he found his daughter a little different from others. Unlike the other kids, she didn’t like toys. He tried his best to entertain her with as many toys as possible but it seemed that she wasn’t interested. When he asked what she wanted the daughter simply said “Nothing your highness”. He was hurt on hearing the word your highness. At last when he finally gave up and thought that he needed to know Selena better. When they were on their way back, Selena noticed the sword in his belt. She asked him about it with curiosity. The Sultan was surprized to see that his daughter though one year old wasn’t interested in toys but swords. He saw the warrior inside her. He thought that maybe she could be the one to unite the two clans and bring harmony in the kingdom that once upon was supposed to be heaven. He thought het the basics and got her a sword as her first toy. She was overwhelmed with joy. They both went to the shehzadi’s palace. She showed an expression of slight disdain when she saw her palace. This was because Sultana always used to ground her in the palace. She used to hate it when Sultana cut her wound deep every time she displeased her. Sultana had used multiple forms of punishment for her. Yes, the one year old girl. She had escaped from the palace in order to go out with Sultan as she didn’t want him to know about this. Unaware of all these things, he thought that she wanted to spend a little more time with him. Which was in a way true because she had never felt so happy before. Although she would perform various difficult spells (of course the Sultana didn’t know she could do magic) , she didn’t know how to fight with a sword. Selena was thrilled with the fact that she could now learn swordsmanship as the Sultan promised her that he would send her someone to teach her the art of swordsmanship. All this made her happy. The Sultan promised her that he would visit her often. He then left for his palace.Shehzadi knew what was waiting for her. Then a white tiger appeared from the sky, landed and folded it’s wings. He told her that Sultana was on her way to check on Selena. She quickly flew towards her balcony and landed just in time (she didn’t use her wing since she swore that she would never use them as Sultana once objectified her to the heavenly thunder for trying to escape by flying out from the window) Sultana came in and saw Selena looking at the sky. She shouted at her for escaping and asked her how she managed to escape. Selena stood still, she didn’t utter a word. Selena looked at Sultana with calm and composed posture. Sultana got still more annoyed and grounded her for another year. (Few months passed. Selena’s teacher came daily to the cave near her palace as she had to sneak out in order to go out. She made her teacher promise that he would never tell anything to her father.) One day, her teacher randomly came to her palace to visit her. His actual intention was to make sure that Selena wouldn’t perform risky magic spells. To his surprise he saw her jump out of her balcony. No wings, no flying, just plain jump from 120 meter high balcony. He was thunderstruck after seeing this. He let a sigh of relief when he saw that she landed perfectly as though it was a regular routine. He went and stood behind her. She didn’t notice him at all. She turned behind only to see her teacher standing behind. He didn’t yell at her. He plainly asked why she didn’t just use magic to fly if she didn’t want to use her wings. She said that Sultana had put in enchantment around her palace. He asked her how she got out of the palace gate in that case. She wasn’t willing to tell him this and said “ I’m old enough to take care of myself, I use my rights as a citizen of this kingdom, I prefer to remain silent”. So, he smiled gently and said “In that case, my lady, I’m sorry I’m left with no other choice. I have to inform your father about his daughter’s extraordinarily fascinating activities. I can’t guarantee you that he would be pleased to hear this. I won’t tell him unless….you..tell me that. Otherwise you know… I can tell him that…” she interrupts in between. “ Why bother so much…don’t put in so much effort to go and tell him this. I’ll tell you how alright?” “Okay then, now you’re in line” he saidShe took him to the underwater cave in the lake inside the palace ground. That cave was the exit from the palace. It lead them straight to the other realm. He was shocked. There were so many warriors deployed at the border, a number of spell caste to separate the two realms, what on the heavens was this?. Did their ancestors not know about this?. He looked at her face for an explanation. “This tunnel was used when the ancestors went for meetings. This tunnel was a secret in order to prevent invasion. Only Sultan Rehaz and the other realm’s Sultan knew about this. As we already know that they both tried to unite the two realms but unfortunately died as a result, they reopened this tunnel when they died, hoping someone would find the way and complete their unfulfilled dream”she said. He frowned and said “Shehzadi I ask you this…seriously..tell me the truth. How many times were u here before??. And did you do anything here because I heard that Hwazar the ancient devil who’s power was so unparalleled that only the might heavenly thunder god, being older than him could defeat him.”“ I..I didn’t do anything” she stammered.“ I ask you this because I want to know. You are different compared to others. You had sword as your first toy, can perform a number of prohibited and ancient spells. You match the description of the one that the prophecy has mentioned”The truth was…Yes she was the choosen one. She did defeat Hwazar. Only the heavenly thunger god knew this. After a series of punishment in his world ( above the Khazian realm), she finally told him why she was being punished. The thunder god was shocked to hear her story. He felt guilty as never in his life had he punished someone innocent. He didn’t directly punish her. Fraction of his energy was protected in his place. Both the clans had the right to use it. He was like the justice god. He wasn’t under the Sultan or Sultana’s order. Infact he was much superior to them. He felt sad that his thunder stone was being used like this. Even though he didn’t hurt her himself, knowing that his powers caused it, he apologized her. One day, Selena felt a sharp burning sensation on her wrist nerves. It was as though it burned deep inside her soul and left a mark. She went to the thunder god. He immediately realised that this mark is for the chosen one. There was 2 mark actually. Only those who had the power to truly love someone had this mark. Who was the other one then??. Moreover her heart was like a cold ice. How was she supposed to have the power of love?. Well that’s a suspense..as of now the thunder god Krish knew about it. He told her everything she needed to know. But the problem was how is she supposed to tell her teacher that. She simply said she didn’t know anything. But then the Shadow Zenades’s Sultan came in. He knew her well. She had saved them from Hwazar’s control. He greeted her. Her teacher glared at her. She greeted him too and introduced her teacher to him. After a long chat, her teacher finally knew what happened (he was still unaware of the mark). He later promised her that he would keep this a secret (not by choice). She often went there to talk with the Sultan. They had good bonding. She later became friends with the shehzada of the Zenades’s realm. Though they fought a lot, they eventually became close.
CHAPTER- 2
Few years later…They met each other at the crowning ceremony ( this was done in presence of both the realm wherein both the heir’s of the realms were to be crowned at the same time) They had a good talk.
Standing at the top of the cliff and looking at the misty mountains, he said “How long we’ve travelled, from hatred to love…remember when we used to hate each other before and then started to love….i mean become friends”
“It’s true that that there is no love greater than the one that comes from harted to love” she said,
He was confused at this point but she confirmed it. They both talked about how beautiful the moon was. Her father happened to hear this. He came and said “Looks like someone’s finally in love.” He teased. “Your highness!!” she said as she felt embarrassed. “Uhm” he said. “Okay father” she said. “Now good” he said. “Whenever I call you your highness, you ask me to call u father. And when I call you father then it’s visa-versa. How am I supposed to know what to call you??.” She questioned. “Well smartie…that’s your problem to worry about now scoot, let me sit and have a chat with my son” he said “Son??” both of them said together.“ Yes, son” he said in plain voice. They had a good chat together. Later his father and mother joined too.
chapter-3
They grew up to an age that they could now rule the realms. But there was one problem, they belonged to different clans. The people were not satisfied by their struggles to unite that 2 realms. Both of them aimed to liberate people from their hatred, they believed that is what true revolution means. But as the destiny would have it, they were forced into a war that a group named Ashtid caused. The same time they were crowned as the rulers (much to the displeasure Sultana of the Khazian realm). She also learned that the one whom she thought was supposed to be her mother was a shadow frost (her mother’s mirage, not her real self). She felt a storm of emotions that broke and destroyed her heart. The one whom she hates all these years…not hatred..apathy, atleast hate was a feeling. She saw Sultana with apathy in her eyes. She believed her mother was like this. But no, whom she blamed all these years was not her mother. She thought of a way to fix this. There was one way…use herself as the sacrifice to complete the spell. However shehzada did not let her do so. They both used their marks to create a spell that brought her mother back. Love could truly fix things. She huger her mother and said “Mother, I’m sorry I blamed you..(sobs)”.Her mother gave her a warm hug and consoled her. Next day they were to fight each ther..the conflict rose to such a rate that no matter how much they tried, they had to fight in order to protect the people. Both, in guilt did not fight back at the end even when they killed Ashtids as they had to kill each other’s people too.Ashtids died but the fight was still on. In this fight…they both dropped their swords. Both told the people their last words..that their motive was to unite both realm again and bind them with love..but…then the marks on their wrist started to shine when they made the people realize what love was and what they had forgotten on the way…the marks combined and then both of them turned into glittering ash and spread across the sky. The ash broke the barrios and people started comforting each other as they were grieving the 2 legends death. Then a child named Nayana wrote a poem on it which goes like:
She was the beauty who’s face glowed, with elegance
Like the sunlight. The warm golden rays reflected from her hazel eye,
Like melting gold under sunshine,
Her wings that couldn’t have been more gorgeous,
Though she never used them. Whereas he was the radiant beauty of the moonlight, The moonlight glittered on his flame like eyes, His long eye lashes that people associated with devils, His long dark hairs looked like the night sky, With his love being the stars that shone bright like Diamond and rubies in his mind. His wings that resembled that of the god, Wings of the fallen angel.Despite the contrasting characteristics,They were meant to be….Despite being poles apart, he saw in her eyesThe immense power, not of the magic you think,It was the magical power of love.He saw the depth of emotions that was as calm as the seaBut also the destructive storm that one feels when overburdenedWith a mix of feelings. He saw the soft waves in her emotionsAlong with the power of destruction beyond measure. He saw the shallow shore and also the deep ocean bed He saw the calmness, storm, and waves not as the
Power of destruction but as the power of creation, The power of protection, the power that comes from What once was hate and now is love, not from greed
He saw not the greed but affection,
He saw not the eyes but the emotions it beheld,
He saw the inner beauty that couldn’t be expressed in words
He was the one who felt the sparkle of stars shining bright
This light gave his cold heart warmth and gave her ice heart
The feeling of how feeling looks likeThis made the darkness in her light fade away
But as the destiny would have it, She was to walk in a road filled with rose plants With only thorns and no rose, It was a path filled with darkness But he accompanied her.
Their clans were in war that they couldn’t put a stop to
She was the heiress of her clan and he was the heir of his,
Alas! They were to fight each other in the battle.
She had believed that destiny is fate that had to be written
By oneself, by love. At last, even destiny had to give up, They met each other again in a much Better world, a world with no war.
“ But…where are we” he wondered.
She knew that they had died in the war
And that they were where the souls go
And unite. But she gently smiled,
And said “Don’t know, another heaven
Maybe….”
