The Star Of The Moon's Eyes

By Barleen Kaur

Everyone says the moon is lonely on dark nights but have you ever noticed that star right next to it?

It has always been there, even on the darkest of times, it never leaves.

 I wonder if the skies and trees and clouds know their story.

 I wonder if other stars are jealous of that one speck of a star who seems to be moons favourite;

 For even the moonlight is not allowed to overpower its light.

Does this ever bother the moonlight that moon has another companion?

 This star is a perfect example of how love is simply giving and never expecting anything in return.

Nature has its own way of unfolding feeling which are hidden in plain sight;

And yet humans are incapable of noticing the magic around them!
