The Stain

The stain, darkest of all colors.

Sticks on you like a brother.

Darker than vantablack,

You’re sure to find it up in the rank.

Yes a stain on a person’s character,

For the world that’s all that matters.

To judge someone,

Oh there is no place to run.

To hide from the staring eyes

To see their hearts turn stone cold as ice.

You may be innocent,

But the stain is sure to give off a scent.

You may be a legend,

But still they feel threatened.

All your dreams crashed,

Your ambition on the rocks are bashed.

Alas even if you die without one.

The stain can still find you through someone.

Never leaves you in death,

Sleeps with you on your bed.

It’s never till death do you part

Because the stain is now always your part.
