The Source of My Talent

Once again, she opens the book

Labled the 'tales of my life'

And she realizes life had been tough

Blowing out the candles

Of her happiness

And she burned her fingers

Trying to keep them warm

He said you're the only one

But valid only for his online one

Because i wasn't there

And you promised me love

Just like you did to her

Because I gave a part of my innocence to you

The most fresh and untouched parts of my heart

And you decided you wanted her too

But you said I'm overreacting

Just like I always do

So he told me I was perfect

He said he paints a picture of us

Holding me close,

And a little one among us

My cheeks look so red

Like the color of my dress

And the blood gushing

From the hole in my heart

And you're the reason why

So I turned another page

Blotching the paper

With my tears

Because that ink is permanent

Like scars, I'm stuck with them

But I still pick up the pen

And I write another poem

Another demon in my head

Another person I'd like to get rid of

But i watch the ink

Bleed out of the hole in my chest

Like an endless river of forever darkness

And use it to write

Another poem, another musing
