THE SKY

The rain pouring in the night sky breaks across my high walls,

What am I to do if thorns of my own rose pierce me, ignore my help calls.

The darkening sky becomes my ally in the fight against bad and good and under the sun and moon,

I keep fighting, don’t give up, because I know only I can save myself from these ruins.

Lightning streaks across the sky and sooner or later will shine across it the vibgyor,

Just like that I keep hoping my blank canvas will one day be full of colours

Have crossed millions of oceans and mountains

This present time will also pass

Tears will be swept away by soothing rains

And these hurtful dust-like memories won’t last

Whatever happens, now or later the sky will still be my only ally keeping me sane,

For the tears will never cease just like the eternal and unending rain

Tomorrow may be better or worse

Today I only know how to smile through hazy shimmering eyes

Hiding beneath pain which only time can nurse

Because I know

Though it might be dark now

But one day the sun for me will definitely rise
