He never shows

She never sees

He never speaks

She never perceives

His heart skips a beat

By her mere presence

Oh, it is despondent

By her occasional absence

He shies away

As she moves closer

He smiles within

When their eyes meet

She winks at him as they greet

He longs to see her smile

Her smile so blissful, so sublime

The sight of twinkle in her eyes

With her soft lips they rhyme

His heart wiggles

Each time she giggles

He covets to say, he yearns to convey

Yet he never shows

And she never sees

Yet he never speaks

And she never perceives
