The Silence of The Night

Updated: Jul 5, 2025

By Isha Dilshad

In the quiet of the night, my mind starts to race,

Thoughts of the future, a never-ending chase.

Dreams of careers dance like shadows on the wall,

What path should I take? Will I rise or fall?

The clock ticks softly, but my heart beats loud,

Worries and wonders, like a restless crowd.

What if I stumble? What if I fail?

These questions swirl around, like a stormy gale.

I see visions of success, but they flicker and fade,

As I ponder the choices, the risks that I've made.

Will I find my passion, or just drift along?

In this late-night silence, I search for where I belong.

Yet beneath all the doubt, a whisper breaks through,

A spark of hope ignites, reminding me too:

Every journey begins with a step into the night,

And though the road is uncertain, I’ll find my own light.

So I’ll breathe in the darkness, embrace the unknown,

For in the depths of overthinking, my courage has grown.

Tomorrow will come, with its challenges anew,

But for now, I’ll keep dreaming, and believe in what’s true.
