The Scared Pup Who Turned Into A Butterfly

He didn’t think she would leave.

He knew she loved him immensely.

He knew her every move, every thought would be about him.

In return, she begged for a little love…

She crumbled at his cruelty,

She cried at his rudeness, she apologized for no fault of hers.

She took care of him even when she was the one who needed care.

She listened to him even when she was the one whose heart needed listening.

Still, he threatened her of leaving her to pieces, he clipped her wings one feather at a time.

He was sure if he leaves, she won’t even have the strength to gather all the broken pieces and live again.

And then one day she really left…

He was surprised yet thought she would return like a lost pup.

Days went by, she didn’t return.

He saw her smiling with a man who loved her.

He saw her majestic wings growing again, stronger, more beautiful than before.

At that moment he realized, in the fad of breaking her down, he broke his own soul.

He couldn’t find his broken pieces anymore.
