The Rugged Stud

By Devdutt Tandel

Some random day I received a letter

Of a variable that became my constant

And as I read his words

I fell in love

The unfortunate love

For a straight man

Tragic yet poetic

Aimlessly

I seem to pursue him

Aware of a possibility

I cared not about

Creating a bond

With mismatched labels

Doesn't matter

I didn’t know better

Getting familiar

We started to uncover

A fairy tale

With no magic to pull over

I said it doesn't matter

At least I got to feel better

He calls himself a millennial

Old school boy lost in digital world

And how am I supposed to tell him

That the good deeds he wishes for me

Are all wrapped up in him

But I want to see through this

Incomplete story with alternate ending

A different forever.
