The Rose Princess

By Lasya Bhat

Once upon a time there was a princess named Rosy. She loved roses and her hair was red in colour. Her voice was so sweet that nearby houses who went to sleep at night would have good sleep. One day, Rosy was in her balcony singing and a witch came, casted a spell on her. Suddenly her hair turned black. She sang at the night to make her people sleep, but this time they got bad dreams. In the morning, the people of the country came and complained of bad dreams.

Now, Rosy was worried. She went to her balcony and clapped her hands. Suddenly, a bird named Cristy came and sat on her shoulder. She told “Hair in rose water” and flew away. In a tub, she put rose petals in water and mixed it. Then, she dipped her hair in the rose water and miracle happened. Her hair turned red again. Now, people also had good dreams.
