The Roots of Love

I'm a vast forest,

with the depths of love and tenderness.

Droughts could have surrounded me,

but it's you who waters my soil, moistens my soul,

and

blooms my heart,

like the rain that quenches my parched roots.

So, dear,

do not turn away from me.

For if you do,

darkness will befall,

storms will rage,

and I will turn cold,

waiting for the warmth you once gave me.

And I will wither in your absence.

The seasons may change, the winds may blow,

but it is you who makes my roots grow.

You are the spring that blossoms my life,

And the dawn, nourishing it with your light.

So, hold me close,

forever.

My dear,

you fill the hollowness inside me.

With your being, I'm whole.
