The Road Not Taken

By Susan Belton

What do you do when all you have left,

Is the road not taken?

What CAN you do when all that’s left,

Is what you thought you couldn’t?

How do you keep moving forward

When you seem to have nothing left.

IF all that’s left is the road not taken

Then you must take it, even if you’re afraid.

Put one foot in front of the other always,

Baby steps are still steps, it’s true!

And ANY progress is better than none.

So keep moving forward for you may find the sun!

If all that’s left is what you think you cannot do

Then you must change YOUR thoughts, even if it seems hard.

Takes three positives to rebuff it.

For the power to change lies within you

With belief in yourself just think of what you can do!

If you feel like there is nothing left, you can’t go on

You must dig deep and muster onward, even when you’re broken.

By moving always onward, you learn to heal.

And with your healing comes great power.

If there is only one thing you take away with you

Be it this, you area a Phenix and will always rise ANEW.
