The Road Leads Where You Take Me

Stands there a tree,

there is nowhere to flee.

The road leads where you take me;

it’s only you and me can’t you see?

Street lights glowing dim,

feelings pouring out of the brim.

Everything seems calm and quiet,

yet the mind is meandering through an emotional riot.

Both walking hand in hand

Only beholders are the stars and the sand.

The breeze breaks the Tranquility

in the heart, well-known for its fresh fragility.

Suddenly, the sky shed mirthful tears

On seeing this spectacle soon as the fog clears.

Each searching something deep in other’s eyes;

I lean again on his shoulders, unaware that time flies.

The road leads where you take me;

it’s only us can’t you see?
