To the freedom least talked about..
Have you ever had a day that went perfectly normal, like all other days and yet this one leaves you feeling gloomy at a point?
Have you ever felt sad and irritated and you failed to figure out a reason?
“Sab theek ho jaayega.” (“All will be fine.”)
A thing needs to be wrecked to need repair, so imagine, how would you feel when nothing has gone wrong and yet people tell you to feel okay and that things will be fine.
Screw ’em, things are already fine!
Isn’t one allowed to feel a particular way at a particular time with respect to nothing. Our feelings aren’t always a consequence of how good our day was or if it rained or not , are they?
Let us do a little something.
The next time you suddenly start feeling low and you do not even know the reason, do not try to calm yourself down. Just let yourself feel the way it comes, more like go with the flow. Even when your roommate keeps throwing questions at you like what’s wrong with you, smile it off. Moreover, surround yourself with people who let you be.
Be as lazy as you want, as gloomy as your mind and heart allows you to be. Let yourself see to what extent it goes, until how many hours it continues. At what point exactly do you start feeling normal again? Try to find an answer to everything except one,
Why exactly are you feeling sad/irritated?
Sometimes, our body and mind do not relate to us but to the vibes going around. So,we start feeling things we have no conclusion about. Let it!
Exhibit your right to feel. Some questions have no answers and that is what makes them beautiful and refreshing.
The end result:
You will know yourself more. You will figure out exquisite things about yourself that no one else knows, but now you do.
You will know that there is no particular reason that pushes you to feel.
Let us be honest, there is one damn thing that happens in the universe by itself(except poop, unless you’re constipated!) ,feelings. We definitely have no control over them. So, why even try?
Don’t we have the right to feel what we feel?
For once, go for a walk without deciding a destination. Let your mind wander because only then you’ll know what it wants to lead you to. Maybe in the monotonous routine of trying to please everyone around, you took a lot from yourself. Give it back. Discover you.
Sit and feel for a while, the wind, the shower, the rain and yourself!
