The Repeating History

Part-1: The Big Blue Door

This is a story of a boy. The boy who can merge worlds. The power within the boy is a dangerous superpower. The boy who was born in Chennai studied in a school with his friend. This story is not about Chennai, about his school nor about his friend. This story is about the boy’s life inside his brain.

January 6, 2010. That was a late night when our hero was born. The boy was named as Dharsh. Dharsh was an active boy who can imagine anything. He always wanted a world with only his laws in it. This is not possible for anyone in the world so, he imagined a world with his laws, his favorites and he also imagined him as a hero of that world. This is not wrong for a child to dream. But dreaming all the time is dangerous, Dharsh had a companion to dream, Kumaran. Kumaran was also a good imaginer, he and Dharsh would join at their homes and dream, plan or even make history of the world in Dharsh’s mind.

As they grow up, they started to make some meaningful adventures of the world like, a hero who would stop a villain from destroying. This was a typical adventure story they made, they also acted like hero and villain. These stories started to conquer their minds. They started visualizing their imaginary characters…

One day, at the school, “Hey! Dharsh, completed your homework?” asked Kumaran, “No” answered Dharsh in a dull tone “Me too, then… what about the Rophanga, any ideas you got for him?”, “Yes, I think that we should make the doctor Flipper the Reborn, as the villain for him” “Not a bad idea, but I got something more, how about reincarnating The Ghost!?” “Good, but he is Ghost, you can’t reincarnate him” “really? Is there any other way for him?” “No! we already discussed about that when we created him.” They were discussing about the imaginary world. After sometime of their discussion the teacher entered the class. “Who all remember the homework given yesterday? How many of you completed it? Those who didn’t complete, stand up!” Dharsh, Kumaran, Radhika, Jyoti and Maran stood up. The furious teacher “Hah! As usual the same, no more excuses, no more explanation, get out!” the students pleaded but the teacher didn’t forgive them. The five students went out of the class sadly except Kumaran and Dharsh as they got time to think about their fascinating world. Radhika, the topper of the class wept “I could not do the homework because we went out yesterday, this is my first time only, but mam made me stand outside only because of you guys!” Jyoti, the disobedient girl of the class “Are you mad or what? mam just made us stand outside of the class not out of the world” Maran, the computer specialist and obedient boy “Radhika is right, mam made us stand outside of the class its embarrassing”. But Kumaran and Dharsh “After this story, our world will be like the real one.” “Yes, Kumara you are right, I want us to go inside the world to enjoy”. Suddenly the five students saw and felt the weather changing, the sky getting dark but, all the others who were walking at the corridors felt nothing. Then a big, blue portal like door appeared from nowhere pulled them in…

Part-2: Journey into the Unknown World

Janaki, the mother of Dharsh, is a school teacher. A school teacher in the same school, came to her son’s class to checkout him. Janaki called the teacher in the class of his son “Mam!” “Yes mam, what happened? Any problem?” “Mam, I am here to talk about Dharsh’s studies” “oh then! Wait mam. Students! Do your PG number 112”. Janaki asked, “Mam is he doing well in the class?” “No mam, he is not doing his homework on time, not paying attention in class but always talking with his friend” “Is he creative in the class?” “Don’t ask that mam, always doing something in his sketchbook or discussing stories with his classmates” Janaki shocked “What! He gets good mark in his exams, he also knows every answer, but why is he behaving like this in the class?” “I don’t know mam, now also he is standing out because he didn’t do the homework” Janaki was confused “What? No one was standing out” “no mam, I sent them outside” something struck Janaki. She ran to the principal, Mr.Prem

On the other side, Dharsh, Kumaran, Jyoti, Radhika and Maran fell on a dry land. All of them were scared, they were also coughing because of the sandy wind. Dharsh felt the place familiar. Kumaran went in search of help in all directions. Radhika was staring, Jyoti was cleaning herself from the sand on her pants, Maran fell in a distance. Radhika asked “Where are we? Actually, we are supposed to be in our school, if mam finds out that we are bunking the class then our parents will be called” Jyoti “Anyhow, we are not in the school, no more teachers, no more disturbance” Dharsh “Wait! I know this place, but I don’t believe it.” Maran curiously “what is this tell us, this looks like we are in wonderland, or something, but we are in grave danger” Jyoti “Nothing new! Wait for the police, if this happens to us then it happens to them too! So, they would find a way. We just need to wait!” Dharsh “no waiting, this will not happen to all.” Maran “So, this is special for us?” Radhika “Yes, that’s what he said now. That also means that no way back” Kumaran yelled from a long distance “Guys! Look this”. Everyone moved near him. Kumaran asked Dharsh “You drew this?” “Yes!”. That was a large deadly looking gate made of gold, silver and quite freaky bones. Radhika “if you know what kind of place is this then you must tell us! Because I am done with secrets” Dharsh “Okay! This is a little bit foolish but you have to believe me…”. Maran shook head. “…We are in a different world. A world of many stories and many histories” Jyoti “A different world? Then how you know about it? Any Rocket science?” “No, not Rocket Science but imagination. Me and Kumaran made this imaginary world. Currently we are in it” Maran “like a video game where we are pulled in and forced to play a game to exit” Kumaran “Kind of but we are not in a game, or we don’t have a guide to exit. We don’t know the way out of this world.” Radhika “No exit! Then we are not returning. I left my dreams undone. Then why did I study hard for exams, all my hard work is in vain” Jyoti “What? You are thinking about exams and marks even now, I am missing my mother’s delicious cake” Maran “You stupid girls he says that we are going to die. You, Dharsh and Kumara there must be a way” Kumara was explaining Maran that there is no way for exit. Then Dharsh Shouted “I got it! Yes, I mean that the Eye of Eternity

Part-3: Not a good place!

Radhika exclaimed “What? The Eye of Infinity?” “Another history? Well, I’m ready for it” asked Jyoti. Dharsh explained “The Eye of Eternity is a ball when you touch it and make a wish then it is going to happen…” “…We are going to take that and wish to go home. Am I correct?” continued Maran, “Yes” answered Kumaran. “Any doubts? Raise your hands” everyone raised their hands. “First, where is it...” asked Jyoti “…how are we going to take it…” continued Radhika “…And most importantly someone must be guarding it.” said Maran. “It is in the Knight Palace which is in the middle of the citadel in front of you” said Kumaran pointing towards the gate. Dharsh intervened “It is not that easy, we don’t know the age” Radhika was confused “What, what age?” “The ruler! Yes, if the age changes ruler and situation changes. Then it is going to be difficult for sure.” exclaimed Kumaran. Maran asked, “Is there any way to learn about the age?” “Yes! The bakery shop” exclaimed Dharsh. Radhika “What does that mean?” Kumaran answered “That means we are entering the citadel”.

Janaki who went to the principal knocked the door, A voice of a gentleman heard “Yes, come in” Janaki entered the door rushing. “What is the urgent mam? Why are you rushing?” Janaki answered when she was rapidly breathing “Sir, it is happening”. Prem stunned “That means we have to hurry”. They went to the car. Janaki called her husband and explained the scenario.

All of the students, stuck in an anonymous world started moving towards the gate. When they were near the gate, they saw that there was a small door near the main gate in which normal people and traders are only allowed. Dharsh shouted “Guys! we cannot enter the citadel as small children, and we are wearing the uniform also” Jyoti cunningly “Then we should disguise ourselves” pointing the traders trying to enter the citadel. Maran “Guys, then here’s the plan. We are wearing the carpets on us and getting on the wool van. That wool van will take us inside automatically” pointing towards the wool cart and the carpets kept, Kumaran “hmm… Not a bad idea”. The five students went near a cart of jars where they can sneak into. All of them looking at the clothe cart for the next sneaking mission, only Jyoti looked at a long stick behind her which was able to reach the carpet. Jyoti in a whispering voice “Mara, look here” showed the stick, Maran “Dharsh, this might be helpful” giving the stick. Dharsh cautiously lifted a carpet, moved towards him. Radhika who was standing behind of everyone, warned Dharsh in whispering tone “look the fat owner of the jar cart, he is coming please do it fast!” Dharsh had the carpet in his hands, but the owner was nearing, then Maran shouted in a low voice “change of plans, get into the cart, hide yourself with the carpet” Kumaran agreed, he pulled one end of the carpet, went inside the cart and kept the carpet over his head, then everyone settled in fast. The cart driver didn’t notice it and drove the bulls inside the citadel.

Janaki’s husband, Dharsh’s father, Mr. Ganesh is a software engineer. He had been called down to a coffee shop by his wife, Janaki for an urgent reason. He unknowingly went down. There a car in which Prem and Janaki stepped out towards Ganesh. Janaki said Ganesh “That is happening, the Pull is happening” Ganesh was shocked “You mean he is inside?” “Yes” replied Janaki. Ganesh asked, “How are they coming out?” Prem replied, “What way we would’ve thought of?” Janaki exclaimed “Eye of Eternity!” Prem intervened “Actually, the Eye of Eternity is with us. When we were stuck in, we used it to escape!”

Part-4: Who is the villain?

Ganesh asked to Prem “Where is the Eye? Then…”, Janaki intervened “Maybe it’s with Sarah.” Prem said “I know where she is…” Ganesh “where?” Prem said in a sad voice “Ootacamund”. Janaki wondered “why in a sad voice?” Prem “because she is no more”. Ganesh “what? Are you serious?”. Prem “But she has it for sure.” Ganesh “Then we are leaving Ootacamund tonight, but before that does she have any relative?” Janaki wondered “Yes! Her son…”. Sarah is a class topper, a very obedient and a gentle lady. She was a close friend of Janaki. She was able to complete a degree and was able to settle in a good life. A tragic car accident led to her death while his son, a 19-year-old boy who was teenager started to help his father who was a business man. The fate starts now. But our hero and friends are stuck in a dangerous world where his parents were already stuck and escaped from there. the problem which I am talking about is that our hero is seeking something which he can’t seek.

Dharsh and his friends managed to get inside the citadel in a trade cart. The fat-cart owner stopped in a narrow street of silence. He shouted “Garry! open the door”. Then our kids started planning inside the carpet Maran instructed “Dharsh we may change our clothes and disguise ourselves, is that possible?” Radhika objected “This is a citadel with busy markets, there must be a clothe shop, but the problem is we don’t have any currency with us now” Jyoti “Dharsh must have an idea for that” looking towards Dharsh. Dharsh in a voice with a hidden agenda “when we don’t have money, where do we go?” Radhika “obviously a bank” Maran “will they give you money if you go and stand there?” Kumaran “They will, if they fear you” “how they will fear for a small boy?” asked Jyoti, Dharsh “first for that we will get down”. The boys and girls who folded their legs tightly and sat uncomfortably in a corner, slowly walked out. Dharsh took the carpet with him for their own safety.

Prem thought it would be easy if they call the hacker. Prem called Janaki and Ganesh who were packing their clothes for their unusual-7-day trip and discussed “I think to call the hacker” shared Prem, “Prashanth? Where he is?” asked Janaki Ganesh answered “I have his contact number! I will contact him, right now”. Prashanth a great coder and a best captain to lead. His place is a secret, his contact number is a doubt and his identity is coded. In simple words he is just nobody. Ganesh has his contact number because he is his close friend from childhood.

The world of danger was a happy place for the people who lived there. The kids, what they planned did not happen. Dharsh and Maran went to the edge of the street corner and looked out. When there is no one noticing them, Maran changed the plan “you know the world, go get the dresses, anyway we will be here. Disguise yourself with this carpet” Dharsh agreed. He disguised and blended with the people in the market. When Dharsh saw an open clothe store, he sneaked nearby. The people were bargaining with the owner. Dharsh had a pile of dresses in the reach of the hand. He took the upper most five and sneaked out. He sold those five among the walking people. However, it took a long while but he managed to sell them. Then he went to the same shop and placed his order with profit he got from the stolen stuff “Sir! I need three set of dressed for me and two for my sister. I think this money is enough sir”. Then he returned with the dresses to his friends.

Part-5: Steal the Eye

Janaki, Ganesh and Prem got a car for Ootacamund. The instructions given by Prasanth to Ganesh was to meet him in Ootacamund. They went there in next nine hours. They booked a room there for next seven days. They were settling down, freshening themselves and setting up a bed for their sleep. Then they heard an anonymous voice knocking the door “hello? Anyone in?” Janaki was frightened, she asked Prem to answer the door while she took the flower pot for their defence. Ganesh who was in the toilet didn’t hear anything. The door knocks grew louder. Prem opened the door “Hi Prem” a deep voice heard from that anonymous person. Ganesh who came out saw the person and welcomed him in “alas! My friend, it’s been ages when I last saw him” Janaki doubtfully asked to Ganesh “You know him?” Ganesh in a reminding tone “you don’t know Prashanth; he is the hacker.”. “Hi guys!” “But how did you find us?” asked Prem, Prashanth replied “when Ganesh called me, I hacked his phone, when I monitored its location, it pointed to Ooty but sadly its signal was weak so I couldn’t follow, but when I saw the bills recently you paid online, I found that you booked this room. I knocked your door to check whether you are in or out” the answer silenced everyone.

Our hero and team went to the bakery shop by blending in the crowd. The reason behind their visit in bakery shop is that, Dharsh loved cakes so he created in each different period of time, each different type of cake was famous. Dharsh was amazed to hear that the chocolate fudge ice-cream was famous in a bakery shop. Jyoti surprisingly “A bakery is famous for an ice-cream? It is so interesting”. Radhika was speechless. Maran asked in a mocking manner “Mr. God-of-world, tell which epic era is this?” Dharsh was shocked to see the name board, not because of the ice-cream but because of the name, there was no such shop he created, Kumaran astonished “This is the era of Eternity” Maran in a furious tone “not understanding, it would be better if you explain, sir?” “Eternity is a god, when it was cursed its eye escaped. He was only able to return when his eye is destroyed, which means that the Eye of Eternity is destroyed.”

Part-6: Meeting the Ghost

The five students were standing stunned in front of the glass display of the bakery shop. Then a lady who came out of the bakery shop “Why are you guys standing in front of the shop, my master would kill me as it affects his business?” “Oh! Sorry mam we’ll leave now.” said Radhika. The lady saw that there were five children standing, then she was shocked “No way! Are you guys stuck in this world?” those five children surprised, Dharsh asked “how do you know mam?” she said “just follow me to the gate”. Jyoti “gate?” Radhika “not new, today is my worst day ever”.

Everyone followed the mysterious lady. She took them to her home. She explained “I’m Sarah, long ago, me and my friends, Prashanth, Prem, Ganesh and Janaki stuck here, in this very world” Dharsh interfered “Ganesh and Janaki? They are my parents…” “is it? Then that’s why you all were pulled in here. We escaped from here long ago with the Eye of Eternity. I am a Mechanical engineer; I am creating an engine for my business with my team which includes the Eye of Eternity. I need some special and rare ingredients for that which is easily available here so, I used the Eye to come here but unfortunately while entering this world I left the Eye in my home mistakenly. So, I am also stuck here. The only way to exit this world is, someone from our world have to use the eye.” All the children were sunk in great disarray.

Part-7: Ugly truth

The Pull is not fantasy, but pure science. The Pull is a wormhole between two parallel universes, one was real, while another is an imaginary world made by the Robells. Robells is a place, man or a thing. Robells is used to calculate the age, situation, time and era for the universe’s maintainers. In this universe, Dharsh’s ancestors and heirs are destined to be Robells. The Eye of Eternity is a door knob for the Pull.

When Sarah used the Eye, the effects reached Dharsh, once he wished to be present in his world the effects started to open the Pull.

The four elderly friends, in the real world, started planning to enter Sarah’s house, sneaking. The situation was also favourable for the elders, Sarah’s husband went on a business trip to Delhi, while her son was busy in Chennai to take care the company in the absence of his father so, both are not in town. But their loyal servant Bheem, is a very strong guard, he is a very good security head for the very house.

Janaki instructed everyone; Prashanth was asked to find the number of people inside the house of Sarah and their authority. Prem befriended the security in the gate to monitor the commands given to the securities daily, Ganesh joined in Sarah’s company in another identity with the help of Prashanth to know her friends and find out about the Eye’s location. After a few days, Ganesh found out something in his workplace, that company was inventing a new machine which will reduce pollution drastically, but they had a plan to sell this machine to the government at very high cost. That machine project was given to Sarah and team by Sarah’s husband, Mukesh, the CEO of the Mukesh Tech. Sarah had a secret and the most important ingredient for the machine which was unknown, and she was not dead but escaped the accident but now no one knows where she is. These shocking truths were heard to Ganesh in disguise.

Part-8: The plan of escape

The elderly team had to sneak in the house to know the truth. Prem shared a news which is very important “Friends! Tomorrow Mukesh, the CEO is returning to town so, Bheem is leaving to airport in Coimbatore at morning 7:00 am to receive him and will return after eating breakfast with the CEO and his son at 10:00 am so, we have three hours, it’s now or never! I know this by the guard”. Prashanth started his master plan “Prem will be talking casually with guard tonight while Ganesh who goes with Prem throw this ball inside the house, which has a camera and I will operate it to find the Eye in the house, the surveillance cameras will be off where ever this tiny ball goes as it has a jammer inbuilt, morning we all get in and steal it, that plan I will tell you tomorrow after knowing the Eye’s location” all agreed.

As the clock strikes to 9:00 at evening, Prem and Ganesh are asked to go. Prem talks to the guard “Hi sir, how’s the day I want to get a sweet for my guest but I don’t know where a good shop is so, do you know any shop?” while Ganesh threw the ball between the leg of the guard but he didn’t notice. As the camera ball touched the ground it started to blink and rolled towards the house through the garden, Ganesh knew that it was the handiwork of Prashanth. After a long search in the house, Prashanth found the Eye, it was under the bed of Sarah.

The next day, Janaki was curious to see his son who had done an adventure. It was not hard to reach the bedroom, Janaki was good in stealth so, she went in the bedroom of Sarah, as she knows that there were only a few servants in the house due to their master’s absence and not much of security. Janaki took the Eternity in her palms and softly yelled the chants to open the door between the worlds. The door was opened with a loud thud.

Meanwhile, our heroes in the opposite world are living as if they are in heaven. They worked hard and ate delicious desserts which is rare in real world. Today it was Dharsh’s turn to stay home and do house chores. While Dharsh felt a change in weather and sky getting darker through the window. The Big, Blue door opened. Dharsh exclaimed out of joy and ran to call Sarah and his friends from work. Sarah took all the rare metals for her project that is going to change our world’s plight.
