The Refugees' Yearning

From all ends came the fiery storms,

Tossing of lives into shapeless forms.

Guns and bombs cracked our heads,

And there laid still,

The remains of our loved ones; dead.

Fleeing was our only hope,

But even the thought was only dope.

Our children will never see the land again,

For the world has stretched out her hands,

To abandon us from her laps.

Our lives and rights are at mighty risk,

We are moving around like a thrown disk.

Even, God chose not to help us.

With final cries, we end our lives,

With wounds of hatred and emptiness.

We became homeless in this world; our home

Borders are closed and the entrance blocked.

Our land deserted us: Foreign lands protest us.

Our existence was never noticed,

Even, animals were regarded higher than us.

Our Moans have been raised,

Will we be ever traced?

Our footsteps stumble with loads on our back,

Will anyone help us to set our lives back on track?

We await…
