The Reflection I See

To the woman in front of the mirror,

Questioning herself in fear.

Do you know who you are looking at?

She is beauty and valour.

Within her is the emotion of every colour.

Ever seen those eyes?

They carry an entire universe inside,

Warm enough for someone to confide,

Powerful enough to withstand life's tide.

And those imperfectly perfect lips,

Giving hope every time she smiles,

Strong enough to pass any trials.

She looks beautiful when she smiles. Doesn’t she?

Look at her body, so beautifully flawed.

Also, her soul is fierce and bold.

Oh! And those scars?

I think she should wear them like glitters and gold.

Embrace what you are because that's what makes who you are.

And remember, no matter if your whole world crashes,

Comeback because you are a phoenix rising from ashes.

You are beautiful; you are enough.

Let nobody tell you otherwise.

This is the reflection I see, of a woman I know

Of a woman standing in front of the mirror.
