The Rain That Drowned You

It is the same rain you loved, that drowned you,

You were slowly going deeper, you had no clue.

You were blinded by love,

Didn’t look down, nor above.

When did the beautiful droplets,

Turned into showering rockets?

You were too busy looking at the drizzle of rain,

When did it turn into flood and pain?

But the surprise to mention,

Was that you gladly let it drown you without a question.

Maybe falling in love gets you drowned,

But you still want that person around.

I guess this is the power of love,

No matter the consequences, you want that person forever, here and above.
