The Rain's Mercy

By J. Prince Wilfred

The skies cry out with tears of rain,

Seeing the plight of the terrain.

The wind's blow chills our heart,

Caressing our skin; bringing us back one part.

The grass brightens with glistening drops,

Water bodies are quenched with water atop.

Renewed spirit swept the land,

Dryness changed into a greenery band.

The warmth reduces as cold is produced,

God's showers of blessing have life re-induced.

The crops await; grown for the sharpened blade,

The land looks up and is awaited by the glade.
