The Rain Finally Returns

By Daksha V

The rainy season finally returns

The rains are beginning to shower

The monsoon is gaining power

From a drizzle to pouring rain

It is adults' loss and children's gain

The rainy season finally returns

Suddenly lightning strikes with thunder

Making children fall into wonder

Rain is proven unpredictable

Just so mighty and invincible

The rainy season finally returns

While it rains cats and dogs

Some are busy sleeping like logs

Kids go jump up and down on puddles

As we long for warm and cozy cuddles
