The Pyre

Somewhere someone lights a candle

Pours themselves a glass of wine

Somewhere someone clasps their hand together

And Worships at thy shrine

Loathe away at Satan’s wrath

 Condemn Lucifer’s pride

Shun all of the seven deadly sins,

Even those that claim to be mine

Humanize the beast, barbarous devilish soul

Draw stars within circles, slit open its throat

Here flows the scarlet, garnered the cup to its cusp

Shh hands clasped together, must not be disturbed

Who is he, who dares to intrude?

Strike a match, light another candle

Wine is thicker, flame flickers

Dagger over the fire, all blades no handles

Grab it by its horns, place it on the human’s neck

The wailing widow, who succumbs to her woes

Knows not of the witches nor the omens

Thine mouth that speaks of draconian power

Should know, nought quite powerful as pain

There there, hush little soul

We’ll stir an elixir; Diaphanous and dulcet

What a darling little flower, such exquisite relief

Come my sweet Bella, Donna hath bear thee berries

Clasp your hands together, lay thy head on my chest

Light another candle, do not be afraid

Chant feverishly, shan’t be left behind

The beast has but a body, now shall be blessed with a bride

Somewhere someone wipes a tear

Somewhere someone bids goodbye

Do not fret, sweet little girl

Far more fearful fates,

Than those not crucified.
