“ The Poet of Science“
There is no existing scientific phenomenon to answer the question,
How it has driven far to this point.
No destinations, no warning signs, no heads up, no objectives—a syntax error.
Even if the universe botched up the definition of what destiny and fate are supposed to mean,
No whiteouts nor branded erased can rub off what the plethora of life
has written for both of us.
No formulas and complete equations can fathom what mumbles behind the curtains of
a shuffled love song playlist that itches beneath my sleeves.
The man of science who has its lenses drowns in logic and rationality,
Supported with evidence and molded with facts laced with reality,
Not a day would pass without the man preaching why the sun is too
bright to look at, or why rain is engulfed with a mixture of sulfur dioxide
Or even, explain why the universe is enormous, stickered with stars.
Then there was this girl who was spilling with never-ending
literary pieces from the back of her head,
As if she never ran out of color no matter the staggering broken
strokes of acrylic paints on ten thousand of canvas;
A never-ending mania of refilling herself over again.
No, in their eyes, they were both tragic opposites, the contrasting sides of a coin,
An intersecting parabolas, whose souls would only parallel once in a lifetime,
Then the universe wouldn’t let them meet again.
So why? What is exactly the reason?
Between the seas, the galaxies, and the moons, I was lucky
I stepped on the same land and dreamed under the same stars as you.
And through the horizon, or the blue s’mores under the campfire of the crack
of dawn—the girl bled hundreds of pieces of science,
To make the man turn to her, to understand her, to adore her;
Henceforth, when the universe unravels the truth of two lost causes.
The Poet of Science was born through the thousands of constellations
of the moonlight’s sky.
