The Plight of a Woman

By Nikita Bidawat

An ant, she is

Born really small,

No seasons affect her

Working tirelessly for her family,

But no recognition on her plate,

Killed by giants, who doesn't really care,

So unaware.

Life filled with misery,

dust for someone,

Some kill her for lust,

Some kill her in the name of societal pressure,

She lives in the world of giants

So big yet, so small.

She may run fast,

But catching up to her not so hard,

No mercy they show

So selfish and hollow,

A 'Woman' afterall.
