The Play Of Nature

When I was in a rare, dreamy moment.

Under the condensed vapour,

Smiling at every scene in the play of nature.

The scenes weren’t related.

Maybe the vastness of the theatre

Was meant to spotlight

every character by the creator.

The heat of the seat mingled with the breeze.

A wasp came buzzing.

It wasn’t on stage.

How high it looked in the quest like a sage.

On the stag, I saw

an old widow stood patting the horse

who saved the life of her only son.

Several chirping birds flew by

And the scene transformed.

The trees and the flowers bloomed,

The wind resumed,

As the knight with his sword posed

And my eyes closed.

The scenes had shifted from

a tortoise swimming to

garba playing, I imagined everything.

I could hear every sound from my seat.

Birds chirping, trees moving, vehicles honking

And even my own heartbeat.

How peaceful it was

When I was in a rare, dreamy moment.

Under the condensed vapour,

Smiling at every scene in the play of nature.
