The pessimist inside

Silent nights, vacant heart,

My soul suffocates in the dark,

Blinding light never marks,

Casting shadow of no luck,

I walk, instead of the run,

By people all around,

Above me, too intense of a sun,

Can’t stop, afraid of being shunned,

Patronizing people, full of glee,

Oppressing the below degree,

Reality, too bitter for me,

So, I dream, it’s the only time I’m free,

I dream of the past,

When I’m happy ever last,

I dream daily, it’s a must,

To have the courage, to step on the future’s rust.
