The Origin Of All Evil

Humans in the partake of evil,

Is seen from times primeval;

The root of all evil is oft tied to money,

But it isn’t in something sweet like honey;

Though money has inspired men to plunder,

And driven people to rip the world asunder,

Money is all but a tool,

For evil to make us a fool;

Money is an invention recently birthed,

Against evil which is primordial cursed;

Religion is seen as the source of all evil by some,

As to its charms do people succumb;

Men have committed several crimes,

In its name many a times;

But religion just like money,

Evolved from human minds many,

And the source of all evil remains,

Not in rules concocted by our brains;

All men are born evil,

Be them modern or medieval,

‘Tis what some may reason,

But that belief is wrong any season;

Though the world has its share of men most vile,

There exist selfless men who serve with a smile,

And the cause of all evil is found,

Not in the minds around;

The origin of all evil lies curled,

In the cryptic nature of our world;

Men wage wars today,

To secure their futures from decay;

Men embrace evil ways,

All to escape times’ maze;

For it is the future shrouded in mystery,

And a relentless march of time through history,

That has pushed men most sane,

Into depts most insane;

Though our world’s cryptic nature has evil contained,

Yet there exist cases unexplained,

Of men in whom evil is ingrained,

Both shallow-brained or well-trained.
