The Ocean to my Boat

Once upon a time, I travelled to this sea,

That I had heard of that had a lot of mystique,

Sudden but sweet he captured me in himself,

He was the bay of the pacific & the note to my key;

I felt like my thoughts heard an echo somewhere,

And that the water seemed familiar that seemed to tell me,

That it wouldn't drown me or sink me in my fears,

That it was deep like my depths, that it was somebody who'd care;

I sat by his side as we saw the sun go down,

I looked at him as my lips drove a smile,

The heart couldn't resist from reminiscing what he said next,

How could somebody's words of love not come around?

So long a wait, so hard the patience,

There was some felicity in his farewell,

Knowing that it would descend & one day he would be gone,

A little melancholy existed in his existence;

Somebody who kept my heart going where the sun rose,

Somebody who got my heart at peace,

I looked up & I thought if it was never meant to end,

He was somebody I used to know.
